Golden, flaky puff pastry wrapped around a creamy spinach and artichoke filling, perfectly crisped in the air fryer. These irresistible spring appetizers are ready in under 30 minutes and disappear in seconds.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, squeezed spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Spread the spinach artichoke mixture evenly over the entire surface, leaving a 1cm border along one long edge.
Starting from the long edge opposite the border, roll the pastry tightly into a log. Brush the border with beaten egg and seal the edge.
Place the roll in the freezer for 10 minutes to firm up for easier slicing.
Remove from freezer and slice the roll into 12 equal pieces, approximately 2cm thick.
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C for 3 minutes.
Arrange the roll ups in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece. Work in batches if necessary.
Air fry at 180°C for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Remove from air fryer and let cool for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with fresh chives and serve warm.
