Remove scallops from refrigerator 10 minutes before cooking. Pat completely dry with paper towels to ensure proper browning.
Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3 minutes.
Brush scallops lightly with olive oil on both sides. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Arrange scallops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch each other.
Air fry for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until scallops reach an internal temperature of 63°C (145°F) and are golden on the outside with an opaque centre.
While scallops cook, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
